Dr. Kim is a graduate of Pomona College in Claremont, California, with a degree in economics. He received his M.D. degree from New Jersey Medical School (Rutgers University) in Newark, N.J. After completing a year of internship at the Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, N.J., he completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the world-renown Howard H. Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, N.Y.U., Medical Center, New York, N.Y.
Dr. Kim is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is American Medical Association board-certified in pain medicine. Dr. Kim’s professional interests include interventional spinal and ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve and joint procedures. For appropriate patients, Dr. Kim performs regenerative medicine with platelet-rich plasma injections and medical acupuncture. He also has over 20 years of electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCS) to diagnose and treat spinal and other orthopedic disorders and complex regional pain syndrome (a.k.a reflex sympathetic dystrophy).
Dr. Kim will start his comprehensive pain management practice at Town Center Orthopaedics on April 11th, 2022. Previously, Dr. Kim founded the interventional pain management division of Blue Ridge Orthopaedics in Warrenton, VA, in 2003.
