Interventional Pain Medicine Physician

Dr. Riju Dasgupta specializes in Interventional Pain Medicine at our Ashburn and Reston locations. Originally from Columbus, OH Dr. Dasgupta completed his medical training at Northeast Ohio Medical University with a subsequent specialization in anesthesia at the University of Virginia. He then further completed his pain fellowship at the University of Cincinnati.

As a physician, Dr. Dasgupta’s believes that an interventional approach can provide longer term and sustainable pain relief for patients. He focuses on educating patients as to why they may have chronic pain and then formulating a detailed plan based off this information. Dr. Dasgupta believes in a collaborative approach to treatment with his patients. He has a special interest in advanced pain procedures, such as spinal cord stimulation, in addition to other interventional spine and peripheral joint procedures.

He is looking forward to reducing pain and helping to restore quality of life to patients in the area
