What an amazing find of a surgeon! A surgeon who has both the skillset of a neurosurgeon and also an orthopedic surgeon. Tucked away in Towncenter Orthopedics in Reston, across from Reston Hospital Center is a practice which contains a wonderful practice of various surgical specialties. Dr Pateder works here and I had a wonderful second opinion consultation with him about an upcoming back surgery. Though he was running late for my appointment, he could already tell I was knowledgeable and we discussed the recommended procedure that he has been doing for years and currently does about 5-6 per week. I felt like a valued patient and I will be back to have him perform my surgery. He was recommended from a friend who had surgery with him, so I already knew he was tops in his field. If you need surgery involving the spine or any discs or vertebrae, schedule an appointment with Dr. Pateder. You won't go wrong and I highly recommend him.

Dr P is an outstanding doctor. I visited 5 doctors about my back pain and he is the only one who really listened. When I went to have my three level back fusion, he determined that during the surgery he only needed to doing a two level. I don’t there is a doctor in the world who would have done this. If you are considering back surgery make sure you visit him before making you final decision.
